We are honored to make a sculpture for the Boys& Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee for their 2014 dinner gala. For those unfamiliar with the program, it is a nonprofit organization that serves over four million boys and girls with club programs and services that promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence. As of four years ago, there are over 4,000 affiliated independent local clubs found in all fifty states as well as Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and US Military bases. Voted as number one youth organization for 13 years by The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and number 12 among all nonprofit organizations, the club’s life-enhancing role in the lives of our country’s youth is hard to miss, just ask Denzel Washington, who has been a former club member, advocate, and spokesperson for the BGCA for 21 years! To find out how to make a difference in your community along with the Boys and Girls Club, log on to www.bcga.org to volunteer, donate, or apply for a career that enables all young people, especially those in need, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
